Research Policies
and Procedures

SSCC can quickly conduct needs assessments and gap analyses to assess the compliance capacity of the institution and the research enterprise. SSCC works directly with executive leadership and research faculty/staff to identify procedures and can author new policies, edit existing policies, or update procedures to ensure that day-to-day workflow and reporting requirements are founded upon solid best practices in research compliance. With significant experience in Title 2 CFR 200 and other regulatory requirements, SSCC strives to ensure that new policies and procedures are not only aligned with federal requirements, but promote ongoing research growth. Let SSCC work with you to review your policies and procedures on research misconduct, the use and misuse of artificial intelligence in research, conflicts of interest, extra compensation, cost sharing/matching, non-exclusion, hazard mitigation, malign foreign talent, indirect costs, and more!

4

Research Ethics and Integrity Workshops

Whether your organization is seeking training on the responsible and ethical conduct of research (RECR or RCR), grant fraud mitigation, research misconduct, conflicts of interest, intellectual property theft, export control, conflict resolution for faculty and staff, or other topics, SSCC can deliver meaningful synchronous (virtual face-to-face sessions) on critical research topics to support enterprise growth, or provide additional training and resources to campus leaders in delivering institutional programming.

5

External Evaluation and Assessments

Efficient operations are key to the success of any organization. SSCC can provide SWOT analyses to identify improvement areas and recommend strategies to streamline your processes and increase research and funding growth. SSCC also serves as a third-party evaluator for federal, state, and privately funded grant awards, and has supported evaluation and data management of awards ranging from the U.S. Departments of Education, Commerce, Labor, the National Institutes of Health, and more.
